Anne Otieno: I Started As A Praise And Worship Member

ANNE Otieno in the moments of worship
Anne Otieno may be known to a few people in the music arena by name but not by her great vocal gifting and song writing ability. Anne Started singing in the year 2000 in church.

She picked interest in singing and joined the praise and worship team in her church by then. This saw her gradually rise to a committed and spiritual praise and worship member that would move masses into deep worshiping through her own compositions and common praise and worship songs.

Anne continued serving diligently in her church apart from her personal engagements. It was not until 2010 when she dared to knock the  studio doors trying to find out if she could record her compositions that she had kept for some while. This saw her start recording her first single that encouraged her to successively record 7 more songs making up her first album titled "YESU USINIPITE"- Do Not Pass Me Lord. The Album went viral selling in Both Mombasa, Nairobi and Kisumu.

Anne Otieno has been blessed to work on her second audio album titled "NIGUSE TENA"  and it is just amazing how God can use humble voices to reach out and uplift the heartbroken.

Anne is set to release the first single of her new album that will be out next week. Talking to Anne, she expressed her excitement and appreciates God for having considered her as an instrument to carry His anointing to the people. She says Niguse Tena song came up when she was going through something and she felt she needed God's visitation. She dedicates the song to those who may be going through lonely moments of hardship to call upon God to touch them.

Anne loves listening to worship music at her own free time while meditating upon the word of God. She gets her music inspiration from Eunice Njeri and Sarah K.

Favorite Verse: 2 Chronicles 7: 14 - 16
Anne Otieno
"...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land...."

In the new album she has a track that derives from this verse. The song is titled "Tuponye Bwana" - Heal Us Lord.

Currently, Anne is based in Mombasa where she has kept her music ministry growing from one level to the next and she still serves in her church as a praise and worship member.

The Niguse Tena album was done at Gamba Records - a production house owned by Abeddy Ngosso and the video is done at Maxton Media directed by Koffiboy.
