In my recent post, I gave the procedure that one would follow when registering their music for skiza tune services.
Successful registration of your music to skiza tune services will be of importance in the following ways;
1. Earning of Royalties
If you are working on your music, you will need some
personal initiative to overcome the assumption that Skiza tune does not
pay. For most artists that spread this kind of rumors have registered
and they MAY be earning though not to the expectation hence the rumor. Every person using your songs on their phone as CRBT (Caller Ring Back Tone) pay 75 cent to the mobile operator per day per active tune. This gross figure is then subjected to other deductions starting with mobile operator keeping more than a half, Aggregator (PRSP) share, KRA share and by the time it trickles to you its only about 0.05 cents per download. This figure will vary depending on the terms of the PRSP company that you sign up with to collect for you. When it is accumulated over a period of time, it can earn you some good amount. good enough to pay for the production of your next song or even get you sort some bills. It is much better than if you had stayed with the music just waiting to make CD sales and assuming that skiza does not pay.
2. Marketing & Promotion
When you get your song active on skiza tune, it will be part of spreading your music on digital platforms that make the song readily available to your fans. It also helps you earn new fans. When one makes a call to a friend and listens to your song on the other end, The caller has an option of copying the song to self by simply dialing 11 and ending the call. If your song is catchy, entertaining or caries a strong message, you might enjoy the benefit of most mobile phone users opting to use it hence improving on your earnings. As you continue growing your music and promoting it on Tv, Radio, streets etc, your brand grows and more people become familiar with your music, more phone users subscribe to your skiza codes and your revenue grows.
Think of that one song you have heard severally on skiza tune, its familiar to you though you never watched it on TV or heard it on Radio with the common reason that the song had a poor audio or poor video. There exists quite a number of these kind of songs.
If you didn't know now you know. Get your music rolling on people's phones and make that simple cent that would definitely grow to a shilling over time.

As A Musician: Is It Fame or Money First?
Music recording is a very expensive affair if you venture into it with a mindset of making money, If it is a passion and talent then it is priceless. Whichever the case, every musician wants to be successful in this career either through handsome earnings, fame or both.
Handsome Earnings
Over 80% of musicians will venture into music recording to earn and live well as they may have seen this from the existing successful and established musicians, I use the term 'musicians' to avoid 'Artists' as most gospel singers do not approve to the fact that they are artists. Therefore "Musicians" will allow me to collectively refer to all gospel and secular singers. I reserve this topic "Artist" for another day. Good financial returns to any musician is a good thing as it lets one to make it a full time affair compared to most who do it as a side hustle. With assurance that they can earn a living from music, one can easily concentrate. Generally and obviously it feels secure to anyone knowing he/she has a little bit extra above monthly expense. It gives a sense of security to know that you can afford for your basic needs and stretch a supporting hand to those in need as the return for this is blessings and peace of mind.
Unfortunately to become a successfully earning musician, you have to keep spending producing more music and marketing your brand. we can easily guess that is why a large number of musicians take music as part time and opt for full time employment to enable them earn money to pay for studio, package themselves in a flamboyant way, push through there music careers and have a daily career. Consistent recording, pushing and marketing of your music will definitely see you make a hit or two that will completely turn around your life. At some point you will do a song that will touch people's live, get them dancing or both. This will see it go viral to every TV and radio station, phone ringtone, street mixes and this is where fame starts.
Fame And Influence
When your music is on everyone's ear, your name illuminates and your reputation changes from 'Upcoming' to 'Established'. You again are no longer an individual but a corporate. Your name becomes a transacting business brand and it gets power to give jobs directly and indirectly. Therefore fame becomes a good thing for any musician. When you become famous, it is good to concentrate on music and identify more avenues, opportunities and directions to expand your brand. If you are still in employment and you are famous, definitely the management will allocate you new roles at your place of work or elevate your grade just to much your new status. Although as a strong established brand, staying in employment will be like "A company working for another company" for a salary. Not the case of a contractor. A very small number manage to remain in employment as established famous brands. Others get it rough to maintain and fall out due to the responsibilities that come with fame.
Fame comes with influence which in turn is a selling point for a musician to get high value endorsements. This in turn defines the earnings that come into your life because of the brand you have established over time. Influence will also give you high power of negotiating a deal and in turn many companies will be willing to spend a lot more to have you promote their products, agenda or policies either as a brand ambassador or a product promoter. This, is one of the best things that can ever happen to any recording and performing artist. You will get more corporates, PRSP companies, Music promoters and event organizers squeezing into your brackets with bookings and business partnership intentions.
When you get to this level, get down to business, throw in a good figure and whoever can afford it let them have your service and attention, remember how much you have struggled, how far you have come and how much you have spent growing this brand to shine. This is the only time to recover.
Getting to this achievement, it is never overnight, it will take your passion for what you do, persistence when nothing is working, consistency and ambition when no one is playing your music, be a fan of yourself when no one is recognizing your effort and all this cover it with prayers of submission, thanksgiving and meditation.
If you are on this noble journey, KEEP WALKING...

Blessing Miles "Omuliro" Flames Uganda
You may have very little details about Blessing Miles but he is a time bomb in the gospel music wave. Blessing Miles has been working on his music life and you would find him most of the time leading praise and worship in his church. He has come against most challenges in life getting to this level. Blessing Miles' talent was discovered 1 year ago and he successfully came up with his first single titled Bye Bye. This song got a lot of support from Deejays.
His second single Omuliro which was released in August 2014 continues to trend on most radio stations and TV shows across the country and it has spread to the neighboring country Uganda where it has been favorited by most radio presenters as our sources have projected. The song Omuliro, Blessing admits he did not expect it to be big outside Kenya and it has taken him by surprise, "...This humbles me more looking at the distance I have covered and the far I am aiming, Its all for the Glory of God..." He said when contacted on phone. Omuliro song caries African beats with a cultural African dance choreographed to embrace the old fashion way of praise. Omuliro is a Luhya-Bantu word meaning Fire.
The chorus goes;
"I feel the fire, fire, fire Burning, Omuliro kwa Nyasae, Kusamba Shetani - Gods Fire, Burning Satan"
Blessing Miles is back to studio working on a new song which he prefers not to give much details for now.

Permilopololo at Citizen TV Studios - Breakfast Bands |
The songs he says were inspired by the holy spirit and his observation on the life people live where they choose to benefit themselves yet in the end it's all vanity. No wonder their latest release starts with "This is Naked Gospel.. Permilopololoooo..."
Challenges.
"To record quality music calls for good cash and this has been a challenge where in some way we have been forced to redo some songs due to poor recording.
Advice to upcoming gospel ministers
Write music that will bless people. East or West, North or South, our music must originate from the word. We are not gospel artists but gospel ministers through music. We must meet in the word.
Musicians must also have spiritual parents. Most of them run from church to church in search of money forgetting that they too need to be fed.
I'm proud of Apostle Tengu Yoka who has mentored me spiritually. I'm where I am because of a strong man behind me, guiding me and advising me."

BLESSING MILES RELEASES NEW SINGLE "OMULIRO"
He understands and believes: "...that moment when you are facing the toughest situations and experiences in life, it is never in vain and it is that moment when God wants to use your situation to shine His glory and let people know that HE IS GOD ABOVE ALL..."
Blessing miles has come along way growing together with the now re-known Gospel Music ministers like Guardian Angel, Redemption, Simbo Owade and many others who have cut into the vast gospel music circle with their powerful gospel songs.
Blessing Miles just released his second single titled Omuliro translated as FIRE. He wrote Omuliro to confirm that as he turned from his past, he has seen God work behind the scenes to let him rise up and shine on unlike his miserable past when he was living an ignorant life. Blessing Miles has a great testimony that he says he will share with us in due course
Watch Omuliro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBim7xdDtAE
His first single Bye Bye which was released early this year was well received by all who came across the song giving him a substantial recognition across the music fans. Bye Bye to Blessing Miles was a song that he used to literally address the devil that he was no longer interested in his dirty past engagements of sin and he was making a bold new step of Christianity that he once held. Blessing Miles admits that he had backslid sometime back and he wrote the song with a passion never to return to his old ways.
He Says his life has gradually changed and he has a huge feeling in his soul that God has a purpose to use his life as a living testimony to prove to mankind that He has a special unique attention for each one of us regardless of our different situations.

Susy Makachia: I Used to work at Marion Shako's Music Shop
SUSY MAKACHIA |
Susy Makachia is one Gospel music minister that we would easily say that God placed her in a certain task for her to realize her calling into Music ministry.
Susy Makachia developed a passion for music while attending Sunday schools as a young girl. She used to sing in Sunday schools and her fellows would always champion for her to give a presentation in every Sunday service. On growing up Susy went out looking for a job to sustain her living and she landed a job in Mombasa. Susy was lucky enough to land a job at Marion Shako's music shop as a sales lady and later elevated to the Music Shop manager. A position she held for 4 consecutive years.
During the time, Susy admits to have interacted with many established Kenyan, Tanzanian and Ugandan Gospel Musicians selling their music albums at the shop.
Susy says that she got the inspiration to record her music while she was serving at the shop. She would listen to so much music and knew very many music artists. The music she used to listen to touched her heart and she found herself singing along most of the songs. She became curious of whole cycle of music art and started writing her own songs.
Susy started recording the songs she had been composing during the times in 2012
" I prayed for a year seeking the face of God. God answered me in His faithfulness and I started recording. The journey was not easy due to financial instability but by God's grace I finished recording within a year, I worked on my audios with Producers Billy Frank and Sammy Gitonga of Dede Record"
Susy did feature Pastor Guy Watunda from Congo in her single song Sifa Zako which is all about praising God.
"I thank God for His grace because the songs are averagely played in almost every radio station in the country. Soon I will release the video for my first album 'NGOME' which comprises of 6 powerful worship songs directed & produced by Kaka Reeves Phatframe filmz. The video for the song Ngome was released last year and has received relatively good airplay in many gospel TV shows. The song is also a testimony of the Lord's doing as it's about deliverance, hope, healing and salvation. Friends from the social media overseas have been testifying that the song is a blessing to them and has become a common and favorite tune for most of their churches abroad, with that I give all the glory to God"
Susy Makachia gets her inspiration from music by the late Angela Chibalonza, Marion Shako, Florence Mureithi and Sarah K. who are worshipers of the present generation.

Anne Otieno has been blessed to work on her second audio album titled "NIGUSE TENA" and it is just amazing how God can use humble voices to reach out and uplift the heartbroken.
Anne is set to release the first single of her new album that will be out next week. Talking to Anne, she expressed her excitement and appreciates God for having considered her as an instrument to carry His anointing to the people. She says Niguse Tena song came up when she was going through something and she felt she needed God's visitation. She dedicates the song to those who may be going through lonely moments of hardship to call upon God to touch them.
Anne loves listening to worship music at her own free time while meditating upon the word of God. She gets her music inspiration from Eunice Njeri and Sarah K.
Favorite Verse: 2 Chronicles 7: 14 - 16

In the new album she has a track that derives from this verse. The song is titled "Tuponye Bwana" - Heal Us Lord.
Currently, Anne is based in Mombasa where she has kept her music ministry growing from one level to the next and she still serves in her church as a praise and worship member.
The Niguse Tena album was done at Gamba Records - a production house owned by Abeddy Ngosso and the video is done at Maxton Media directed by Koffiboy.

Kamsa: Releases Her New Video Mambo Sawa
KAMSA |
https://www.youtube.com/user/Maxtonmediavideos
She admits to have come a long way having held on to the word of God as the only fortress when she was growing up.
Her childhood did happen as a miracle and she grew up in a tough environment. She says that the song "Mambo Sawa" is inspired by the tough experiences that she faced while growing up and she wants to encourage those who might be going through the same situation through the song.
In Mambo Sawa video she features acts by her long time friends and she takes a moment to let the discouraged hearts who are at the verge of giving up not to as God is the ONLY author of their lives and He has control over any situation, therefore "All Is Well" when one depends on God and no need to worry.
"Never give up in Praying to God. Pray with a clean mind and with faith. When Praying always rejoice in hope that the thing you are praying for will be answered, be patient in time of tribulation and never stop praying to God."
The video which is directed by Jijo Drumbeats of Maxton Media is already out and the response is overwhelming.

Johnson Mwakazi: God Works Through The Unexpected People
Johnson Mwakazi |

"It was about eight o’clock when her son who was
asthmatic developed some complications. He had to
be rushed to the nearest hospital about 1km away
or else it would be fatal. She called a neighbor
who had a car but the neighbor said the car had
no fuel; she called the pastor who said he had
visiting pastors from USA and could not leave
them alone. She decided to carry the son to the
hospital; she could not imagine loosing her only
child to the same sickness that had killed the
husband few years earlier. She had a problem with
her leg and could not move fast enough and the
son was also heavy for her to move faster. Along
the way she met people rushing home from work
who just stared at her. She tried to beg them for
help but they assumed her. She also tried to stop
passing vehicles but they never responded.
There is always a way |
a man who was mad and used to roam the streets
Unclad noticed her. He came running towards her
and took the son from her. She could not talk but
just pointed the direction of the hospital. The
crazy Unclad man could understand perfectly well
what she meant since he saw the desperate boy
struggling for breath.
He put him on the shoulder
and told the woman “all will be well” as he ran
towards the hospital. The doctors on seeing the
crazy man knew something was really wrong, they
attended to the boy immediately. Ten minutes
later the mother arrived and the doctor broke the
news “if he was brought five Minutes later, he
would have died..” .
God doesn’t have to use Bishops, Pastors, Alfas, family, politicians & rich people with cars to rescue or bless you.
No matter what may come your way, no matter what
you are going through, your life is in His hands &
He has good thoughts for you. I know you will
make it. For there is a friend in God who will wipe
away your tears. The Word says for with GOD all
things are possible!

Almighty God bless You All

Florence Andenyi: ANGELA CHIBALONZA INSPIRED ME
Sometimes our very own heroins are not praised in their own soil but in one way or another they will always be noticed when they execute their heroic tasks in their simplest ways.
Florence Andenyi rest be assured that she is a time bomb in the Gospel Music ministry. Born and raised in Kibera slums, she has come against all tides to represent the body of Christ through music and this lady is just on point. Take time to go through her music and you will agree with me.
Florence took many by surprise after she released her first single video titled Kimbilio which received and continues to receive a massive airplay.
Kimbilio
The Song Kimbilio which she says is aimed at praising God for the goodness He has sprinkled in her life when she was going through tough times. For the many who have watched and listened to this song can agree with the fact that the song is very well brought out and reflects the true feeling of submission of a humble heart.

ASANTE VIDEO
Florence went ahead and released another song titled ASANTE, a song that she featured Maurice Katee. She dedicates the song to Grace Wambui Gatubu - a friend's child who was born premature 6 months into pregnancy. Grace who is currently 5 years old is blind, deaf and mute though Florence agues on that Grace can see hear and talk spiritually hence she thanks God for that fact.

Mungu Yupo
Florence has a very new video titled Mungu Yupo. In the song she uses it to assure her soul that GOD EXISTS and will fight her battles. The song that she featured B2 Shan goes ahead to encourage those who are in various battles not to worry but to submit to GOD WHO FIGHTS OUR BATTLES.

Florence Andenyi is a great song writer, a vocal powerhouse and a lady that anyone who understands music can not give a cold shoulder on her music.
She explains herself here.
"Honestly I was inspired by the late Angela Chibalonza, I used to listen to her songs and tears would roll down my chicks. Her songs always make me feel I am close to God and that made me develop a soft spot for music in my heart. I am also inspired by The Word of God.
I love giving people hope assuring them that God is able to change their situations no matter what because I am a living testimony.
My Mission
I am into music to accomplish the mission of God in me. Mine is not only a talent but a calling because I don't just do music, I feel I have an appointment with God. My singing is a ministry that God called me to do."
